1984 by George Orwell, Anine Kierulf

This is an excellent book that I think everyone should read at least once in their lives. In painting the picture of a dystopian future, Orwell uses psychological theories and historical patterns which make the plot quite believable and gives you a lot to think about. When reading the first half of this book, I was going to give 1984 five stars because it was so engaging and got the point across perfectly. However, halfway through, he adds an essay by Goldstein which ruins the flow of the narrative. After that essay, I found the story went a little down hill and wasn't as interesting. Overall, a great book though!!
