I truly enjoyed this people-driven view of Irish history. History is, after all, the stringing together of actions or decisions by people great and small. I was woefully aware of how little I knew about Irish history, despite considering myself a connoisseur of all things Irish, and the book made me want to learn more about this country where my grandfather grew up. Overall, I think this book is a great way to learn about the small but mighty country.
