Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach

Awe loved this, I genuinely did just read it bcs it was both mentioned in the sampha album and bcs it was on our shelf. But it was really lovely, soo allegory for philosophy imo. I don't actually know how much I agreed with the message of it, but the more I read the more I did, the separation of body and mind is all that I've been arguing against in our studies of plato, but at the same time I think it's a nice perspective for if you seen the body as limited perhaps? Like seeing the use in the body. I thought it was interesting that like the power of flight comes from fully understanding each element of the body, and then the instant travel comes from realising the body isn't you? I did like the ideas of rebirth and progress and all that. Possibly a children's book? Possibly not? I'm going to give it to aisling and test it out on her.
