Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

[a:Carlos Ruiz Zafón|815|Carlos Ruiz Zafón|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1601032197p2/815.jpg] is such a skilled storyteller. I do wish I can read one of his books in Spanish sometime. He describes things beautifully - people, places, emotions, situations. A common element in all the books is how engrossing they are. The story pulls you right in, and you cannot stop reading.

So, obviously, I lapped it up. It is a quick read, and I would've finished it sooner had life not interfered. Barcelona is described beautifully, and the city did seem like a perfect gothic background for undead creatures, ruined mansions and hopeless love.
Highly recommended.
