Several shifting POVs made for an interesting multi-generational cast, but the resolution relied heavily on mysticism and in-built symbolism, which got me a little lost. Also, very lyrical, poetical language, a little too flowery for me. I did like the two main kid characters though, and their struggles to be themselves.
