tbh this was not worth all the hype. I liked the imagery of the writing and how descriptive it was, but the whole idea of the bell jar wasn’t well-developed. it was incorporated at like the very end of the book. also the racism in this book made it unenjoyable. however, I so deeply and profoundly relate to the fig tree
