The first of Stephen King's horror novels that I've read. It's slow. There are whole (short) sub-chapters that are just vignettes of life in Jerusalem's Lot. There are a lot of secondary characters (you need a lot of victims in a story like this).
It was pretty tense and engaging at times. An interesting exploration of what if a Dracula appeared in small-town America. Objectively a very good book. But not a life-changing book. Not one I'm likely to re-read.
