Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

"Mors irrumat omnia. Death fucks us all."

Ninth House is Leigh Bardugo's adult debut. I love her YA books, and I was so excited to check this one out. She killed it, and this is definitely one that you need to add to your TBR if you haven't already.

Ninth House gets off to a slow start, but just trust me, you want to keep going. The timeline isn't totally chronological, and it gets a little complicated at times. It all balances out in the end, so don't worry.

I loved how mysterious this book was, and that only a little bit was revealed at a time. It kept me entertained, and I flew through this book as quickly as I could since I wanted to know what was going on.

The style of this book reminds me a bit of The Magicians by Lev Grossman, so if you're into that series, you may want to check out this one. They have a lot of differences, but Ninth House made me happy like The Magicians did.

This is probably going to end up being one of my favorite books this year, and I can't recommend it enough!
