Batman/Superman, Volume 5: Truth Hurts, by Greg Pak, Ardian Syaf

4.0

The more of their newer graphic novels I read the more I wish these included a "previously" page at the beginning. While I like Pak as a writer if I had known Jim Gordon is now Batman and Superman basically has 1% of his strength, can't fly and is about as invulnerable as your average starting right tackle this collection wouldn't have such a steep learning curve.
All that said this is a fun story. Vandal Savage is a golden age bad guy who was given a modern update on the CW and works as an interesting foil to a depowered Superman. The addition if Redhood, Batgirl and Agent Grayson to the mix have a getting the gang together feel that serves the story well and has a nice payoff.
