The Intellectual Devotional: Revive Your Mind, Complete Your Education, and Roam Confidently with the Cultured Class by Noah D. Oppenheim, David S. Kidder

3.0

I found it at my local public library. This is a book for people who like to learn trivia and small bits of history. The book is set up like a religious devotional (those little daily prayer books), except it is for secular readers. It covers history, music, art, science, philosophy, religion, and literature in daily segments. Readers can learn basics in those topics in easy-to-read passages. It is a nice book to pick up and drop as the mood suits you. While readers could follow the daily reading structure, it is a book that lends itself to browsing.
