Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

2.0

This book felt childish and it was obvious a white millennial wrote it, some of the dialogs ans phrases just ruined the feeling I wanted. However the author should be given credit for creating such unique characters with details that made you know them in a way that felt different than other stories, this story was itself unique and ti stands out from most books. Even though I didn't like Lola's character she was special and that was a nice change after reading many books with similar main characters. I did however love cricket so it gets another star just for him.

If you want a book to get you out of a reading slump this is it, easy to read and uplifting<3
