This is basically regretting him highschool coded. In no way did I believe once that these characters were 21 years old. Miss Auburn never once called her parents for help? you’re telling me her parents are real adult people and she thought it would be easier to lie to them and tell them everything was fine than to ask them to help her get a lawyer and build a case for custody? Not one part of me believed this love story bc it wasn’t shown at all how the feelings developed, she just said they had a connection and boom you’re thrown into the love sorry?? I’m sorry that just doesn’t work for me. I believed her relationship with Adam 10 times more than with Owen lololol. You’re telling me that Owen painted the painting in her living room in the exact same style as all his regular paintings and she couldn’t tell at all after staring at 22+ regular paintings??? You’re telling me they spent 7 “days” together and he’s falling in love? Sure maybe in a book where they actually talk to each other and do share their confessions and get to know each other over the 7 days SURE but that’s not this book. It was all wrong. Very little in this book worked for me. I read it in one day bc I wanted it to be over so bad. It wasn’t bad enough to DNF so that’s good but also my coworker lent me her copy and she said she loved it so I couldn’t give it back to her without reading it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
