Tessonja never disappoints with her fairy tale retellings. The world that she has built and expanded on throughout the last books have been a pleasure to dive back into every installment. From the world building, to the lore, to the colorful cast of characters we are introduced to every retelling! I do believe A Dream So Wicked is my favorite so far, which is ironic considering sleeping beauty was never my favorite princess! lol. But Briony and Thorne were everything. A true enemies to lovers, who ended up hurting each other all the way from the beginning to the end, but in those lies and betrayal, formed a genuine bond and love, where they were able to overcome their fate as sworn enemies and find love. They were steamy, they were layered, they were morally grey, but it’s what made them so so good. Of course, I absolutely adored Minka and Mr Boris, and as always, the way the sleepy beauty tale was retold in such an original way while also keeping elements of the original story was perfection. I really enjoy Tessonja’s writing style, and I will definitely be delving into her other series in this world as well!
