The Dysasters: The Graphic Novel by P.C. Cast, Kristin Cast

2.0

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly the artwork of the faces was kind of creepy and I wasn’t into it at all.

Tate’s artwork also looked nothing like what it did on the cover at all.

The story was interesting but the comic was very fast paced it was hard to keep up without reading the actual novel this is based on.

There was no real slow down. A few short introductions but mostly just characters thrown in for two or three panels and then not mentioned again.

I believe this is Wednesday Books first graphic novel and I do think graphic novels are one of the hardest things to publish because if you miss a few panels the story is too fast and if you add too many the story is too slow. It also requires great dialogue, great artwork, and the writer and artist being able to really work together. I didn’t really see that here.

I do look forward to seeing if Wednesday Books continues to publish graphic novels.
