The Last Girl: My Story of Captivity, and My Fight Against the Islamic State by Nadia Murad

5.0

Devastating yet inspiring. I give five star reviews pretty sparingly, but this book deserves it. It hits hard as a call to action, a testimony to humans ability to survive, and a love letter to a lost country. On the last page she writes that the most effective method for raising awareness is sharing her story honestly, and I couldn’t agree more. I knew this happened, but not to the extent shared in this biography. Would absolutely suggest !
