Splendid by Julia Quinn

2.0

Picked this one up as I was looking forward to some non-Bridgerton work. Unfortunately . . . I found the hero unlikeable and cliché; the heroine was refreshingly non-English, but one can only read about her hair color so many times, you see. And quite frankly, the writing is rough.

Redeeming factors are the snippets of humor and the reappearance of a plot within the last part of the book. Not unreadable, but would prefer not to read again. 2 / 5.
