The Girl Who Saved Christmas by Matt Haig

4.0

The Girl Who Saved Christmas is a continuation of A Boy Called Christmas, a Santa Clause origin story.

While in Elfhelm everyone seems happy, not all of the Elves are as content with the existence of Christmas as you would think. Trouble is coming for the town, and trouble is also coming for young Amelia Wishart, the girl who is responsible for part of the magic that keeps Christmas alive. With her mother dying, and her being locked up in a workhouse, will there be enough magic in the air to sustain Christmas? If not... can it be saved, or was last year the first and also the last time Christmas took place?

I definitely recommend this book series for young and old.
