A beautifully illustrated graphic novel with memorable characters and plenty of diversity. The exploration of life post graduation and the transition from high school to adulthood was a tad immature for my tastes. I found a few of the characters annoying and frustrating - which is exactly as they were meant to be, nicely achieved by the author - so it detracted from some of my enjoyment. The familial relationships were deep and complicated but I felt as if the conclusion was very shallowly explored compared to what it could have been. Overall a nice concept with lovely art but it did fall short of really resonating with me.
