Amazing thing of being an ARC reader of an ongoing series, especially for a debut author like this one, is that you can see how the author is growing.
This is a story to get to know the characters better, and where we see the missing part with Cassie's parents and how things are setting between her and Damien (who is a dream boyfriend btw). This was a story of emotional development of the characters, dealing with mental health, set in a cozy environment with a found family.
I have read the second book first and now the pain that was so deviously immersed by the author in the second book feels so much worse. Oh how it hurts!
I have received an eARC from the author and this is my honest review.
