H.P. Lovecraft's at the Mountains of Madness: The Second Volume by Gou Tanabe

5.0

The first book begins with a small introduction that tells the history of this story and includes the (dead?) dream of Guillermo del Toro making a film adaptation. Having read (an earlier draft of) that script I can tell you I would not have been pleased with it. Now if del Toro ā€” or anyone else ā€” wanted to work on an adaptation taking this book as the root: Iā€™d be overjoyed. (Should be noted I have also taken a stab at adapting this story into a screenplay. No one will ever cry over its not being made.)
