Dreamin' Sun Vol. 2 by Ichigo Takano

3.0

I'm not sure this manga series is for me, even though I wanted to so badly love it because I really enjoyed Takano's Orange: The Complete Collection, Volume 1. Where that one I felt had heart and an interesting story, this series doesn't seem to offer much. Apart from its already kinda awkward premise, this volume opens with a pretty jarring scene of the character being insecure about her appearance, wanted to change it, being encouraged to change it - all under the assumption that this will make another boy like her (and this boy is BY FAR the most boring character/love interest ever (the tsundere one who low-key bullies her is at least interesting)). I understand that Takano is heavily leaning on shouju tropes, but I have just seen this done better? I don't know the angst was kind of cool with the tsundere character, but I haven't been impressed with the series and I think I just might stop here :(
