The Cider House Rules by John Irving

5.0

I tend to love everything Irving writes and this was no exception. It wasn't, however, my favorite of Irving's books. The story was good and believable and the writing, as always, was excellent. I think it was that I didn't love the characters as much as I have in other novels like the World According to Garp or Last Night in Twisted River. The character I loved the most in this novel was Melony with her brutal honesty and brashness.
