The Redbreast, Nemesis, and The Devil’s Star are books three through five in the Harry Hole series, the first three books set in Oslo. I’m not the biggest lover of Harry Hole, but the stories are enjoyable enough. With these three stories, I found myself addicted to the underlying story that developed throughout.
With each book telling an individual crime, there was something lingering throughout that I was desperate to see come together. It was certainly interesting to see the way everything developed, and I appreciated the growing story, but I did feel as though the way things finally came together in The Devil’s Star was somewhat anticlimactic.
If you’re a fan of crime thrillers, then I’d certainly recommend giving this series a try. However, I doubt they will every make it to my favourite list.
