Giving this a generous 3 stars. I think had I read this ten years ago, I’d have liked it more. But at this point in my life I’m too far away from 17 to not be annoyed by 17 year olds. lol. Especially one that fits so many tropes/stereotypes from the not-like-other-girls to the chosen one. And what I’m assuming will eventually be an age gap romance.
Idk. The base of the story is good. But I kind of randomly bought a book in this series not realizing just how didn’t get book 1. So I bought book 1 when it came on sale. And well, my lack of attention was my own fault because now I have three books in this series and I’m not sure I care to continue. Time will tell.
So while it’s not bad, it’s not really for me. Recommend for those 15-27. Adults who don’t yet feel like adults (Kwim?) will probably still enjoy this. But if you are firmly in your adulthood and feel it, then maybe skip this.
