It did what it set out to do and managed to not romanticize pedophilia. Some of the writing was very pretty but I personally despise stream of consciousness as a style so 85% of this book was nearly unreadable for me. It would've benefited from being about 150 pages shorter. At the halfway point I found myself think "okay, I get it, can we do something else now?"
