Omg 🥺 Emily Henry did it again. She opened my heart to romcom novels with Beach Read. I faithfully read and enjoyed People We Meet on Vacation. And now Book Lovers is definitely my favorite by her.

I love that this story focused just as much on family relationships as love relationships. The characters were all kind to each other even during conflict, which is something I never take for granted.

I do wish Henry's characters were a little more diverse, but I imagine it can be complicated to be a white author and try to write POC characters. Most of the supporting characters' appearances were not specifically described so one could easily imagine a more diverse cast... But it is still left only up to the reader's imagination.

Definitely recommend, even if you have not yet loved either of Henry's other books. This one seems to be a hit for those who didn't, and icing on the cake for those of us who did. Would also recommend to fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid who have not yet read anything by Emily Henry.
