Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata

My main issue with this novel is how unprofound it is. The critics of Japanese society are meagre and a very concerning amount of the story is dedicated to one the most annoying, repetitive and predatory man ever written. The book finishes EXACTLY where it started, the character hasn’t evolved and hasn’t learned anything new, I’m so mad.
