Is it perfect? No. But it is fun!
This book feels like the adventure promised at the end of The Drawing of the Three. Not sure why over a hundred pages of this are a weird sequel to Salem's Lot complete with gay panic, three part vampire hierarchy lore that goes nowhere, and according to Stephen King no politics at all. Or why there are baffling star wars and Harry Potter callouts, but hey, King gonna King.
