Read this because Quinn really liked the Cirque du Freak series and is dying to read this. After reading the second chapter, I think its pretty unlikely that he'll be allowed to read it for quite a while.
Actually not a terrible book, though, and I can see why Quinn liked the Cirque du Freak books.
