I love this volume and some of the shifts that occur! Such as everyone heading to the north - it's such a different setting than what we've been accustomed to, and I always love snowy settings in stories (probably bc I have never lived near snow lol...), and I appreciated the detail of how snow affects automail too. I additionally also loved getting more insight into the Ishvalan War, that continues to be so so heartbreaking.
I couldn't imagine being in Scar's position and waking up with your brother's arm magically attached to you - after said brother having died. Also, an obvious parallel to Ed and Al in a way with older brother sacrificing right arm to save younger brother's life AGHH. Anyways, also the bit where Kimblee came across the Rockbells' bodies, and you can tell he actually did really respect them. Despite being a despicable character, Kimblee is very interesting.

Also, I love having learned about Hawkeye and Mustang's connection, and how much history they've had together. I mean, if I hadn't already watched the anime adaptations a million times, I feel like this and the last volume really illustrates why they're so important to each other (and why, Hawkeye specifically, is in essentially a hostage situation with Wrath). Oh man, this story is just so incredible!!
