The Dixon Rule by Elle Kennedy

5.0

The Dixon Rule was probably in my top 3 most anticipated books for all of 2024, and it DID NOT disappoint 😭🤩

Elle Kennedy is the Queen of hockey romance - between the Off Campus, Briar U, and now Campus Diaries series, she has created this wonderful little universe surrounding hockey at the fictional college, Briar University.

The Dixon Rule was an emotionally hard-hitting story that I don’t think I was really prepared for. Kennedy tackles some difficult topics in this story that I’m not sure I’m all that used to in her writing - but I loved it!

The struggles that both Diana Dixon and Shane Lindley battle in the Dixon Rule were ones that unfortunately are not uncommon, and they came across to me as the reader as authentic and genuine, which I really appreciated.

Aside from the emotional aspects, the BANTER between Shane and Diana was 🥵🫠🔥 Their chemistry was off the charts, and the way they grew to care for each other while still maintaining their abilities to rip into each other was refreshing and entertaining.

As always, Elle Kennedy is an incredible writer and I cannot wait for the next installment of The Campus Diaries to release next year! I’m sure The Charlie Method will be incredible 🤩🤩🤩
