Owls of the Eastern Ice: A Quest to Find and Save the World's Largest Owl by Jonathan C. Slaght
3.0
3.5 Audible version
Another reviewer describes this book perfectly "It is a book about academics that study nature." and I think that's why I enjoyed it more than some others. Set your expectations, do not expect to learn all about Fish Owls in this book, after all the title states "A quest to find and save..."
If you have done field work, you'll probably really enjoy this. It reads as a really well put together field note/diary, which can be exciting. If you want to learn about Fish Owls, you will not enjoy this, and just either do not pick it up, or skip to the very end.
