When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

3.0

I don’t know how to feel tbh

I'm surprised that I'm a little disappointed with this book. I had a lot of expectations about the difficult topics, about death, life and life in the face of death.
I learned a lot about him as a neurologist, about his operations and small details.
The way he described certain scenes was immensely good and I had to read on.

Nevertheless, I was missing that certain something that touches me and leaves me speechless (as many people describe it here).
His story is remarkable and sad and I don't even want to get started on the topic of cancer. It is a very sensitive topic that is associated with so many emotions and experiences, which he describes beautifully.

BTW you can definitely save yourself the preface..
