There's this nebulous magical feeling I remember experiencing when I was a kid discovering a new favourite book — a feeling I've been trying to recreate as an adult and failing spectacularly at, for some reason.
Enter Little Thieves.
This book perfectly recaptured that feeling of wonder for me and reminded me why I love to read. It's clever, funny, and hit all the right emotional notes with impeccable timing. It struck a brilliant balance between the whimsy of a fairy tale and the bite of a retelling. This book is an absolute treasure and I'm going to be aggressively recommending it to everyone I know.
Absolute perfection. Margaret Owen 100% understood the assignment.
