The beginning of this book was a little rough, I was not sure if I was going to like it, especially our love interest. But he ended up growing on me and the things I was initially wary of faded away not to be seen again.

Once I got past that this book was a really fun time. I enjoyed the attitude Nova brought when she realized her neighbor was her former hookup and he did not recognize her. She was just like well it’s not my job to jog his memory he can figure it out on his own and realize why I’m pissed at him. And then when he did recognize her he was just like oh shit. We learn that after that incident it really put his life into focus and he made some serious changes.

We also got some fake dating in here and I liked the fact that it did not take them long to give into their attraction to each other, it was kind of refreshing. Also it was hilarious every time they were caught in an inopportune moment.

I also liked the little side plots going on. We have Nova who moved back home to be with her younger sister and raise her after their mother had passed. Her sister had a cute little relationship with a boy on the football team. And Ronan who’s the coach of the team had a really good relationship with his kids he was coaching, you could tell they really admired and looked up to him.
