Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh

4.0

Well, this was...enlightening. xD

As a fan of Nalini Singh's paranormal series, I got used to her writing style and the way she creates her love scenes, which I love but consider somewhat tamer compared to authors such as J.R.Ward and Larissa Ione.

Imagine my surprise when I picked this book up and realized she can get down and dirty with the best of them.

The dirty talk, the play, the more than explicit sex scenes and the frequency of said scenes were all new to me and I sure was both exhilarated and a bit confused with it.

If something can be said, is that maybe there's a little too much sex in this book.

I figure it has to do with the fact this is about a rock band, the fame and every single addiction/excess surrounding that world, but who knows?

I loved seeing Nalini in a new (to me) element and how she is able to metamorphose and adapt to new realities.

I only didn't give Rock Addiction 5 stars because I ended up more than a bit annoyed with Molly's insecurities and how she didn't seem to know what she wanted from her relationship with Fox.

One minute it was about sex, the next she got pissed with the simple fact some fan touched his skin while he was shirtless. It got irksome real fast.

Also, I was a bit bored with the second part of the book. There wasn't much going on apart from all the drama fame brings with it, such as crazy fans, paparazzi and all that jazz.

Anyway, can't wait to read Noah and Kit's story. There's something great there, I can tell.
