I was surprised by the route this author took this fantasy story in. I thought it was going to be a run of the mill fantasy romance but was happy to some twists and turns. It’s an easy and fast read with interesting characters. I have some issues with Priya and how she treats Finn so I hope we see some character development in the next book. Overall, it was a decent read. I would recommend if you want a quick fantasy without crazy world building. **Definitely check out trigger warning as there is a lot of graphic content in this book**
