Old Babes in the Wood by Margaret Atwood
4.0
Margaret Atwood has always been a favourite, so I enjoy her work even when I don't entirely love it, or maybe just can't relate to it yet. I'm an aging babe but not quite an old one so the stories of elderly feminists are interesting but I'm not yet counting myself among them. I need to read this book again in about 20 years so I can better find myself in it. There were still several stories that I particularly enjoyed, including My Evil Mother, A Dusty Lunch, and Impatient Griselda.
I read this as an audiobook, read by multiple narrators, Margaret herself among them. I'm sure she would admit that she is no actress, and she's not a great narrator either, but I love to hear her voice so it just doesn't matter.
