The Dark Choir is an interesting urban fantasy series that I've been following for a while now. While there are plenty of fish in the sea these days, what I like about this series is the ambiguity of the magic system. The main character, Dorian, deals in hexes and while he claims he's upholding his own high moral standards, he has gambled away his soul while dealing with the darker forces and is now desperate to reclaim it.
It's a good book for a week-day where you don't want to have to focus too much. At the same time I'm curious to see where Dorian and the story are going.
