Tame Me by J.L. Leslie
4.0
I was sent a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest book review.
The book starts off with Wren, who has just graduated with a degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Development, putting off get a teaching job in order to get a housekeeping job for one of the well known Zane siblings, Stellan Zane, which comes with a much higher pay check, in order to support her ill sister. It’s there that Wren and Stellan’s relationship goes from professional into something much more exciting.
Considering this book is not usually the type of genre I would usually pick to read, I completely enjoyed it, which took me a little bit by surprise after reading the current reviews. The storyline contained so much excitement, from romance, sex, death, violence and characters with mysterious backrounds that kept me reading to find out what each character was hiding. There were strong character developments in this book, as there was backround information not only given about the main and the secondary characters, but even characters we didn’t see all that much. This I would say is one of its strongest points of the book. There are certain parts that I didn’t get, such as the; argument, misunderstanding and lack of communication between Wren and Stellan, which went against their characters, plus it just irritated me. But even with this, I was still able to read and enjoy this book within a couple of hours and in just one sitting, as I wanted to know what happened in the end and have my questions answered and I couldn’t stop reading it.
I would definitely recommend that you give this book a read to anybody who is in the mood and fancy reading about love, sex, romance, death, violence, mystery, a dark past, as all of this, plus much more, is all within this one story. Enjoy your read.
