You Do You: How to Be Who You Are and Use What You've Got to Get What You Want by Sarah Knight

4.0

**I received a copy of this book from Little Brown and Company for review**

Part “Return of the Jedi”, part “Return of the King”, this book nicely rounds out her “No Fucks Given” trilogy in a way that fans will truly appreciate.

Once again, I finished Sarah Knight’s book wishing that I actually knew her in real life because she seems like my quintessential spirit animal/polar opposite in the best ways possible. She says and does things that I wish I had the courage to while also feeling like she would be the person who understands and respects me enough to cheer me on while I do me. She’s that friend who says what you wish you could, stands up for you when others use you as a doormat, and spurs you on to be the true you.

The only thing that kept me from giving this a five star rating (which I seriously feel is a bit outlandish in every way anyway) is that some parts of the book, for those of us who are fans and have devoured her previous books, are a bit repetitive....but that’s a part of life when you have readers who are late to the game of awesomeness. So I take that for what it is. I also self-ISH-ly (see what I did there?!) wish that the parts that I loved (specifically her celebration of her mental health journey) were much longer. (a future book maybe?)

All in all, Sarah never disappoints and she always makes me feel empowered to do and be more of who I am. Always and forever. Another book that I will return to when I need a friend to tell me I am fucking amazing and I shouldn’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks of me.

Just brilliant.
