The Mist by Ragnar Jónasson

4.0

The final retro chapter of the backwards trilogy and we finally have Hulda's full story.

I have to say it's been a novel approach to go backwards through someone's life. I never really warmed to her character but the cases were interesting. The second part was my favourite but this is a very creepy murder story, which I had to stop reading at night because it gave me nightmares.

I'd recommend this trilogy but it is considerably darker in tone than the Dark Iceland series. Maybe that has a lot to do with the respective detective's characters.
