Why I added this book to my TBR pile: I saw this on Chirp, I think. It's copyright free (expired), so there are many editionss.
Will I read more by this author / about this subject? Probably Not Maybe Definitely There may be a few more letters written by Elinore Pruitt Stewart, but I think this was the bulk of her contribution to literature and history. It was good though. She was funny and her descriptions were great. I love the strength of this woman and it gave me insight to the others who got land claims. Too bad the land was stolen from Indigenous tribes. Also, this book reflects the racism of the time. There are lots of negative words used to describe certain races. Does this mean Pruitt Stewart was racist?
The narrator was Kate Fleming. She has a great voice, almost sassy, but comforting.
