This was a good ending to an enticing series, and I thought it wrapped up everything just the way it needed to be. Which is good because literally everything unraveled. Just when a situation couldn't get worse for our two stubborn protagonists, another wrench would be thrown in the gears. But it worked. The drama was fairly believable, the tension was higher, and there were some losses that I didn't expect. To be honest, the entire plot took a bunch of turns I didn't see coming. On a whole, I kind of wish the book was longer. While I like action scenes and exploration and meeting new characters, I would have liked to spend more time seeing characters pick apart certain situations and would have liked to get to know some new characters better. But that's all minor nitpicking. On a whole, I did enjoy the book and watching Sepora and Tarik struggle to balance their emotions and kingdoms, all the while preventing a massive war. Definitely recommended for readers who like their romances to be packed with drama!
