Man. This was my second AJ book and it was even better than the first. The fake dating trope always gets me but this one had a lot of heart and I really love that the male love interest wasn’t your typical type A “prince” type but was totally riddled with his his own story and working through his own trauma. I loved the letters and the only place I faltered a bit was towards the end when she is pulled back into her old life for a brief chapter. The ending was amazing and there are so many wonderful lines in this book. 
I loved the way they loved each other and I loved the way they saved each other. The catch phrase idea might be my favorite tidbit of any book I’ve read! 
Ps. I know they are standalone books, but definitely read them in order! You’ll appreciate the little crossover moments so much more!
