The Glass Forest by Cynthia Swanson
3.0
Angie Glass has everything she thinks she's supposed to have. She's married Paul, who swept her off her feet while they worked at the same small resort in northern WI and she's just given birth to her first child, a son. But all that domestic bliss goes out the window when her niece calls and informs them that Paul's brother has committed suicide and her mother is missing. Paul and Angie travel to upstate New York to care for Ruby and the longer they stay the more Angie learns about Paul and his brother and the secrets and lies that exist in marriages, including her own. Ruby's character is fascinating to unravel and the overwhelming sadness of innocence lost from recognizing how power and control have shaped all of the women's lives in the story, permeate the entire book.
