Did not finish book.
i usually love the horror genre but this book is not it…
i do not know what year this is supposed to be based in… the overuse of the cockney slang made it seem like it was one of those over the top british dramas on bbc which makes it extremely difficult for anyone not familiar with this to read and was just awful to read even as a brit.
the women are described only on physical appearance & there were many weird lines in this book about women.
there was transphobia quite early on in the book too but it was excused because of a transgender neighbour he likes.
the racism also in this book from the author is just absolutely atrocious.
the ableism and classism too just all those points tipped me over the edge. too problematic & honestly quite disappointed in this book, i’m on page 69 and i probably won’t continue. i also do not want to know about their knobbly sweet potato like p*nis. thank you.
