Carrie Soto Is Back, by Taylor Jenkins Reid

4.0

This was a really fun women’s sports narrative. “Why do I have to be nice when most of the men aren’t?” TJR takes on the world of professional tennis in Carrie Soto is Back. Carrie is great. Really strong. I really liked her dad, Javier. He was great. He balanced tough love and being supportive pretty well.

I couldn’t help but think of Serena Williams as I read this. Who is the GOAT. Definitely different than Williams’ journey, but still felt like a little nod to her.
