Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
I tried reading this book four times. Every time I was shocked by the lack of depth of characters exhibited by this author. It astounds me, because with a premise such as the one which motivated this book one would think the author would know how to weave personalities and motives into his characters. However, one cannot even say they are bidiemensional.
It is a pity, for a lot of research seems to back every material point this book is making (in the more science aspect of science fiction). Despite that, it is all barely held together by an assortment of vapid and mean characters and forcefully "controversial" plot.
