The Eterna Solution by Leanna Renee Hieber

4.0

A fitting conclusion to a great series. All the major loose ends are tied up, but just enough hints at new intrigue set the stage for Miss Violet and the Great War, which launches a related story with the next generation of characters.
The will-they-won't-they relationships finally get some time to blossom (although they still move frustratingly slow). There is a little too much dramatic professions of friendship and love between various characters for my taste, but I suppose that is what happens when you draw from the unbridled emotions of the Romantic era.
Miss Knight and Lord Black climbed their way up as my favorite characters in this installment with a couple of shining moments. The villain is my favorite of the series and I love how she sees herself as a Lady Macbeth to the world.
